Sewer and Drain Cleaning

Roto-Rooter Sewer and Drain CleaningThe most common cause of sewer drain blockages is simple buildup, typically from dirt, debris and mineral deposits. If you work in a restaurant or food processing facility, you know that grease and other organic matter can build up in pipes and drain lines very quickly. So what are you supposed to do when these blockages happen? Call Roto-Rooter. We have been cleaning sewers and drains since 1935. There is no job too big or too small for us and―trust us―we’ve seen it all!

Trenchless Pipe Repair

Over time, pipes can corrode, crack, and misalign, allowing access for tree roots and other objects to enter into the lines. This can result in blockages and a reduction in waste water flow from your home or place of business to the municipal lines. In some cases, it can also mean sewage overflows, which can create devastation. Roto-Rooter offers “trenchless” methods to replace cracked, broken or leaking pipes without digging, minimizing disruption to people or your property.

Pipe Relining

Pipe relining repairs a damaged sewer pipe by lining it with a new, “pipe-within-a-pipe.” After cleaning, the existing pipe is lined with a pre-cut and measured felt liner. The liner is saturated in resins and inserted into the damaged pipe, where it is inflated to take on the shape of the host pipe. It is then cured to harden. The function and flow of the pipe is restored 100%, for less time, money and mess than traditional dig and replace methods.

Pipe Bursting

Much like pipe relining, pipe bursting requires only two small access holes and is particularly suitable when you want to exchange a damaged pipe with one of equal (or even larger) size, or if the existing pipe is out of capacity. This method is cost-effective and minimally disruptive, and reduces the overall damage to pavements, parking lots and building structures.

Video Inspection

service-video_inspectionRoto-Rooter’s trained and experienced technicians provide thorough evaluations and recommendations using specially designed, self-propelled video cameras to make visual inspections of sewer lines, from two inches to 36 inches in diameter. Our high-resolution cameras are able to detect grease buildup, broken pipes, leaks and obstructions, such as roots. Through the video inspection, our technicians can locate the line, diagnose the problem and decide the best course of rehabilitation or repair for each unique job.

High Pressure Jetting

Roto-Rooter uses state-of-the-art water jetting equipment to safely and effectively clean even the most highly obstructed pipes. A hose is propelled by water into the sewer line under tremendous pressure. The sewer line is cleaned by powerful forward and reverse jets of water, which wash the scale, silt, sand, grease and other materials back to the manhole for removal. The debris is responsibly removed from the line, minimizing the chance of future blockages.

Leak Detection and Line Locating

Leak DetectionCan’t pinpoint the source of your water leak? No matter where it is, in a mainline, an irrigation leak or someplace in-between, Roto-Rooter’s highly trained and experienced technicians will locate it. Using our technical expertise and cutting edge equipment, Roto-Rooter will quickly find the source of the leak and take action to decrease both the cost and waste of water loss. In order to prevent damage or injury from occurring, Roto-Rooter can also help you to locate telecommunication, natural gas, fiber optics, television, and other utility lines before digging.

Grease Trap Pumping

Restaurants and businesses involved in food service and food waste handling know very well that grease traps must be regularly cleaned to keep things running without odor or back-up. Animal fats and vegetable oils in particular can block the kitchen plumbing system before they reach sanitary sewer lines. Roto-Rooter can be relied upon to professionally vacuum, pump and haul waste from septic tanks, grease traps, catch basins and other liquid waste receptacles, such as car wash pumps. We provide safe and legal waste disposal, and we make sure to put our environment first.

Backflow Testing and Repair

What is backflow? It is the reverse flow of dirty water through clean water lines. This dirty water can be contaminated with feces, pesticides, chemicals, fertilizer or other materials. Most commercial properties must have their backflow meters tested and certified every year as required by law. Roto-Rooter technicians are trained to perform annual backflow testing and certification, repairs, and installation of all types of prevention devices. We handle all of the necessary paperwork relating to your annual inspection and will notify you when your next annual backflow testing is due so you can keep your property in good standing with the local water authority. A Roto-Rooter backflow expert can also check your plumbing system to ensure that your property is equipped with the proper backflow device or devices.
